Hansen Awarded EcoVadis ‘Committed’ Badge for Sustainability

At Hansen, we are proud of our dedication to sustainability, recognising that we all have to play our part in caring for the planet. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious “Committed” badge by EcoVadis, the global leader in sustainability ratings for businesses. The badge signifies that we are steadfast in our commitment to achieving our sustainability goals and making progress each day.

For those not familiar with Ecovadis, this organisation is a leader in sustainability ratings for businesses. They have developed a globally recognised platform that rigorously assesses companies’ sustainability performance across various criteria, including environmental impact, labour practices, ethics, and procurement. The certification process involves a comprehensive evaluation, resulting in a score that reflects a company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.

Many of our customers turn to Ecovadis as they assess not only their own performance but those of their suppliers.

At Hansen, we pride ourselves on building innovative software and services and creating a positive impact across our priority verticals, in the opportunities we create for our people, and the way we give back to our communities through different initiatives.

Being recognised with this Committed badge from EcoVadis inspires us to work even harder and to continue evolving.

We are proud of the strengths highlighted in our EcoVadis assessment. One area that stood out was our Environmental Policy, which was classified as exceptional. We also received strong acknowledgement of our Waste & E-Waste policy being put into action with the re-use of our IT hardware amongst other initiatives.

Our Australian operations have been certified as carbon-neutral by Climate Active for three years running, and we have achieved a 17 per cent reduction in our emissions during that time, while simultaneously growing our business in a significant way.

We aren’t stopping there, and we have already begun to assess our global Green House Gas emissions. We have also started the process of certifying our Australian operations as carbon-neutral for the fourth year in a row.

And for us, this is just the beginning of our achieving our goals set out in our inaugural formal Sustainability Strategy. To learn more about our Sustainability Strategy and recent progress, head to our Sustainability page on our website, and our most recent Sustainability Report.
