April 4, 2016 – Hansen Technologies Limited (ASX: HSN) today announced the release of Banner 5, the latest version of its CIS solution for utilities and municipalities. With a new technology stack and a streamlined CSR portal, Banner 5 is a major upgrade of a product line that has served the Utility and Municipality markets for more than a decade.
“Our focus has been on improving the Banner 5 user experience while reducing underlying operational costs” said Hansen CTO, Guy Tennant. “A flexible and responsive user interface maximises the use of screen real-estate, and a metadata driven design reduces the cost of customisation. We believe these new elements will improve call center experiences and increase customer satisfaction.”
Key features of Banner 5 include:
- Sleek, adaptive design – to improve usability and make best use of a wide variety of terminals and screen sizes.
- Optimised workflows for common tasks – to streamline time-consuming customer service processes such as move-in/move-out, transfer, and bill queries.
- An Upgraded Tech Stack – Built from the ground up using Java EE, the software is browser neutral and runs on industry-leading application servers including JBoss and WebLogic. Deployments have been simplified through faster application installations
- A Multi-Channel Self-Care Portal – from partner Smart Utility Systems that reduces call centre traffic and provides households with the means to track usage, investigate alternative rate-plans, and make bill payments.
Looking to upgrade to Banner 5 for its out-of-the box custom features and potential to improve their customer-facing operations, The City of Mesa, AZ is working with Hansen to spearhead the first implementation program.
“Since acquiring the Banner business, we have doubled the size of our Banner development team to produce an outstanding product for the utility and municipality markets” said Andrew Hansen, CEO at Hansen Technologies. “Hansen has continued to invest in improving the service and satisfaction to existing customers and this initiative is another key step to re-establish Banner as the leading CIS for the industry.”
