Overview

This course provides you with a hands-on guided walkthrough to deploy and manage Hansen Catalog in a Kubernetes (K8S) cluster as a set of microservices, in an environment known as the Hansen CSD Cloud Native ecosystem.

This course is suitable for those with a strong IT background who are familiar with deploying and implementing applications within the chosen cloud environment.  A typical role which would benefit from this course would be a System Administrator and IT infrastructure group.  For example:- System Administrator, IT Infrastructure group, Database Specialist, System Architects, System Integrators.

Course Prerequisites

The following prerequisites are mandatory for this course:

  • Completion of the Hansen Catalog Overview
  • Understanding of CSD Cloud Native Ecosystem including AWS RDS and MSK
  • Basic understanding of SSL
  • Basic understanding of kubectl and helm commands
  • Understanding of Kubernetes terminology such as nodes, pods, services, etc
  • Working knowledge of user security and maintenance.

Course Outcomes

Once you have completed this course you will be able to do the following:

  • Verify and review the pre-requisites for Hansen Catalog Cloud Native Deployment.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes terminology such as nodes, pods, services, etc
  • Review setup of Cognito, API Gateway, Route53 and Ingress Routing.
  • Configure External Secrets, Configure the application Properties and Install Catalog Microservices.
  • Verify the Deployment.
