December 3, 2014 – Hansen Technologies Limited (ASX: HSN) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a 5 year licence and support agreement for Ergon Energy Corporation Limited to deploy and operate Hansen’s PeacePlus CIS as its electricity billing and market transactions solution for its Network Distribution Business to meet future regulatory requirements.
Ergon Energy supplies electricity to approximately 700,000 customers across 97% of the state of Queensland. The company will be implementing the Hansen PeacePlus solution to serve customers and Hansen will provide Ergon Energy ongoing support and maintenance, as well as work with Ergon Energy to deliver any system functionality changes required as a result of regulatory and electricity market changes.

Ergon Energy were seeking a new billing solution to enable them to continue to comply with network electricity market regulations, provide effective and efficient network billing capabilities, and interface with retailers. It was recognised that PeacePlus meets all these requirements and that Hansen has experience in successfully providing this solution to electricity network businesses.
